If you need to log in, register, or manage your account, go to isnetworld.com. If you need help building the safety program and documentation that ISNetworld grades — RAVS answers, incident stats, and field proof — Safety Ahead supports Alberta contractors through prequalification.
ISNetworld (ISN) is a contractor and supplier management platform used by large operators — oil and gas companies, utilities, industrial facilities, and major prime contractors — to verify that their contractors meet safety, insurance, and compliance requirements before work is awarded. If a client requires ISNetworld registration, you cannot be approved to work on their sites without it.
ISNetworld is a contractor and supplier management platform large operators use to verify that contractors meet safety, insurance, and compliance requirements before awarding work. Major oil and gas operators, utilities, and industrial facilities require their contractors to be registered and graded on ISNetworld before any work begins.
ISNetworld and ComplyWorks are competing contractor prequalification platforms. ISNetworld dominates oil and gas and heavy industrial across North America. ComplyWorks has a stronger Alberta energy footprint and is headquartered in Calgary. Some contractors need both, depending on the client mix they bid for. The platforms don't share data.
Any contractor whose target clients require ISNetworld registration needs to register before bidding or starting work. This is common for Alberta contractors working with major oil and gas operators, utilities, and industrial primes. If a client mandates it, registration plus a passing RAVS grade is non-negotiable.
ISNetworld collects and reviews safety program documents against a client-specific questionnaire (RAVS — Review and Verification System). The questionnaire asks about your written policies, procedures, and programs. Answers must be supported by uploaded documentation.
ISNetworld also tracks your safety statistics — Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR), and other metrics. Poor statistics can prevent approval regardless of how strong your program documents are.
We work with Alberta employers on OHS orders, COR audits, safety programs, and more.
